Attachment B Attachment A Draft PWS This announcement is a pre-solicitation notice not a Request for Proposal (RFP). It is anticipated that the RFP will be available on or about June 22, 2012. The solicitation will be issued pending availability of funds. This is a Full and Open Competition. The contract type is anticipated to be a hybrid with both fixed price tasks and cost-reimbursement tasks. The Department requests all interested parties to submit questions regarding the draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) to Joseph.Gibbs@ed.gov (with a copy to pamela.bone@ed.gov) no later than June 07, 2012 on or before 11:00 AM Eastern Time. The Department will not provide a response to every question, but will incorporate the answers into the RFP. The Department of Education is intending to award a 42-month hybrid FY2012 that studies the Impact of a Math Professional Development intervention on teacher content knowledge, teacher classroom practices, and student achievement. The purpose of the contract is to conduct a random assignment evaluation of a policy-relevant math professional development intervention on teacher content knowledge, teacher classroom practices, and student achievement. The program office responsible will be the National Center for Education Evaluation and Regional Assistance (NCEE) of the Institute of Education Sciences (IES). No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the government will accrue as a result of a submission or of a response or use of such information. Please submit all questions/comments/responses via email. NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. Further information will follow regarding ED's Vendor Communication Conference. This notice is part of our Vendor Communication Strategy. The Department intends to conduct a pre-solicitation conference on June 15, 2012. More information to follow.
