This is a Sources Sought (SS) Notice Only. This is not a request for proposal. There is no solicitation available at this time. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this SS, nor will the Government compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing the information provided to the Government. This SS does not constitute a commitment by the Government. Any information provided in response to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only and will not be released. Any proprietary information submitted will be protected if appropriately marked. Vendor participation is not a promise of future business with the Government. The purpose of this SS is to conduct Market Research to determine an acquisition strategy for installation of an Energy Management System. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Northern Indiana Health Care System (VANIHCS), Fort Wayne, IN is conducting market research to determine if there is a sufficient number of certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), Hubzone Small Businesses, or 8(a) firms capable of performing the requirements to warrant a solicitation set-aside. The proposed solicitation is for installation of an Energy Management System at VANIHCS at the Marion campus in Marion, IN. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials and equipment necessary to replace/install a DDC Single Energy Management System, replace existing pneumatic controls with DDC controls in buildings currently connected to the system, and install DDC controls in buildings not currently connected to the system. Estimated solicitation date is on or around July 2012 with an estimated award date of September, 2012. The intended contract period is anticipated to be 365 days, depending on Market Research.
