Description

DESCRIPTION This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice that the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Fresno Medical Center will be setting aside solicitation for 100% Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) who can provide Fire Extinguisher Maintenance Hazardous Waste Disposal and Management Services for the Veterans Affairs Central California Health Care System (VACCHCS), 2615 E Clinton Ave., Fresno, CA 93703, as well as the Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC)s at Merced, 340 E Yosemite Ave, Merced, CA 95340; Oakhurst, 40597 Westlake Drive, Oakhurst, CA 93644; and Tulare, 1050 N. Cherry Street, Tulare, CA 93274. This site is within the Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 21) of the Department of Veterans Affairs. The contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, supplies, materials, services, equipment (to include but not limited to the following: suction trucks, pumping equipment, container trucks, portable scales for weighing drums and bulk containers, sampling equipment and cleaning equipment, incidental spill cleanup supplies, forklifts and waste collection containers) transportation, permits and authorization to accomplish the work in a timely and efficient manner. The contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, supplies, materials, services, equipment (to include but not limited to the following: suction trucks, pumping equipment, container trucks, portable scales for weighing drums and bulk containers, sampling equipment and cleaning equipment, incidental spill cleanup supplies, forklifts and waste collection containers) transportation, permits and authorization to accomplish the work in a timely and efficient manner. Additional services include expedited removals; laboratory analysis, sampling & analysis for each unknown waste stream, reports, forms, labeling services. Infectious and radioactive wastes, or mixtures of such wastes with hazardous waste, shall not be included under this contract. Waste disposed of under this contract may possibly be contaminated with one or more substances not specifically identified. The Period of Performance is Base Year with four one-year options. Base Year is expected to begin on/about August 1, 2012 through July 31, 2013. The solicitation document is VA261-12-R-1047. The NAICS Code is 811310 and the Small Business size standard is $7.0 million. Vendors are to wait for the Solicitation, VA261-12-R-1047 to be posted in FBO and review the entire package prior to submitting their proposal. The solicitation will be posted on June 6, 2012.
