- This is a presolicitation synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 5.207, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation number is W912CL-12-T-0090 and will be issued as a request for quote (RFQ) on or about June 20, 2012. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334290 and the size standard is 750 employees. This requirement will be set aside 100% for small business. Description of Requirement: The successful contractor shall Remove fifty-seven (57) existing proximity card readers, twenty-five (25) circuit board panels, a computer registration system, and five (5) locks in Building 1000 and 1030, Fort Sam Houston, TX 78234. Provide, install, and integrate fifty-four (54) HID model HU 6180BKR14 biometric card readers, fifteen(15) MAC-4R-MASC Access Controller with two ea 12VDC circuit board panels, devices and components in the Lower Level, First, Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, and Seventh Floors of Building 1000, exterior of Building 1000 and Gym Door of Building 1030 to existing MASC registration system. Provide, install, and integrate eight(8) RIM Strike Lock HES series 9600 locks to the Lower Level, First, Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, and Seventh Floor Central Stairwell doors of Building 1000. Provide, install, and integrate a MASC registration system with Intelli-Site Security Management Software version 3.9, eight (8) HID model HU 6180BKR14 biometric card readers, three (3) MAC-4R-MASC Access Controller with two ea 12VDC circuit board panels, devices and components to create a stand-alone access control system on the Fourth and Fifth Floors of Building 1000, Fort Sam Houston, TX 78234. Additional Information: The commodities for this requirement will be procured on a brand-name only basis Place of Performance: Fort Sam Houston, TX 78234 Period of Performance: Period of performance for the resultant contract will be within 90 days after receipt of purchase order. Contract Type: The resultant contract will be Firm Fixed-Price. Evaluation Criteria: The Government will award a contract based on Lowest Price Technically Acceptable Source Selection Process in accordance with FAR Part 15.101-2. The Government intends to award without discussions, but reserves the right to hold discussions if necessary. Contractor Requirements: Potential offerors must have active registrations in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database and Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) in order to participate in this requirement and be eligible for award. Contractors should access http://www.ccr.gov for information on CCR registration, and http://www.dfas.mil/contractorpay/electroniccommerce/wideareaworkflow.html for information regarding WAWF. Obtaining the Solicitation: The solicitation and any amendments, if applicable, will be available for download from the FedBizOpps website at https://www.fbo.gov. It is the contractor's responsibility to check for any posted changes to the solicitation. It is anticipated that the official request for quote (RFQ) for this procurement will be released on or about 20 June 2012. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract, nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any proposal preparation costs.
