- Description
- The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Justice Management Division, Procurement Services Staff, intends to negotiate a sole source contract with FileTrail, Inc. for software maintenance of their FileTrail for SharePoint 2010 software product. The support shall include, but is not limited to, software updates and patches, and phone, email, knowledgebase and helpdesk assistance to resolve technical issues related to use of the licensed software. DOJ's Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) acquired the software in 2011 to implement a case file tracking solution for their 1500SharePoint users and to allow them the ability to expand the functionality of their Electronic Content Management System (ECMS) which uses Microsoft SharePoint 2010 to manage content, permit collaboration, and implement workflows. The solution spans EOIR's fifty-nine (59) Immigration court locations across the U.S. and EOIR's Board of Immigration Appeals and involves tracking at four levels: key documents, audio recording, case files and archival boxes. The proposed contract action is for supplies or service for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. No solicitation document exists. Interested parties must respond within fifteen (15) days with a written statement of capability that convincingly demonstrates that they possess extensive experience providing FileTrail's software maintenance and support. Responses received as a result of this notice of intent shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses will not be considered as either proposals or bids, and cost or pricing data is not solicited. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon written responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The anticipated period of performance under any resultant contract will be for one year starting in September 2012 with four (4) one-year option periods to extend the term of the contract.
