Description: This is a combined/solicitation Notice of Intent for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this acquisition is NIAIDNOI12094 and the solicitation is being issued as a Notice of Intent to procure on a sole source basis. This solicitation document and its incorporated provisions are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC 2005-58, May 18, 2012). This acquisition will be processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and is not a Small Business Set-Aside. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID) intend to procure from QIAGEN, INC., 27220 Turnberry Lane, Valencia, CA 91355-1018; The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 334516; which has a business size standard of 500; the following requirements are for: 1) QIAgility System HEPA / UV (including notebook computer, QIAgility software, installation and training, 1 year warranty on parts and labor), Catalog #9001532. This instrument is manufactured by Qiagen, Inc., and is the only vender that will satisfy the agency's requirements: a) Vendor must provide for a single channel, 20-150 μl/s, pipetting head that is software controlled; b) must provide for a CV<1% 5-200 μl (dry-well transfer); CV<5%, 2-5 μl (wet-well transfer), CV<10%, 1 μl; c) must provide for a tip volume 1-200 μl; d) must provide conductive filtered tips for liquid-level sensing for 50 μl and 200 μl; e) must allow for the used tips to be ejected externally so there is no waste accumulation on the workstation; f) must provide for automated PCR setup in all common plate and tube formats; and g) must allow for selective pipetting from archived sample banks. Supply Materials required are: 1) Laptop notebook must be supplied; 2) 10 racks of 96 x 50 μl conductive filtered tips; 3) 10 racks of 96 x 200 μl conductive filtered tips; 4) 50, 5 ml free-standing tubes; 5) 10 tip receptacle boxes; 6) 2 adapters (96 x 0.2 ml PCR tubes); 7) 1 flip-cap adapter (32 x 1.5ml tapered tubes); 8) 1 flip-cap lifter (32 x 1.5 ml tapered tubes); 9) 1 reagent block (8, 1.5 ml tapered tubes); 10) 8, 2ml free-standing tubes and 16 200 μl; 11) 1 Master Mix Block (1 5ml and 4 1.5ml tubes); 12) 1 Master Mix Block (5 5 ml tubes); 13) 4 tip rack holders; and 14) 1 pipettor service kit.
