Description
Note: The upcoming solicitation for this notice has changed to Solicitation Number FA5270-12-R-0012. Note: This is a presolicitation notice. Solicitation documents will be posted accordingly if released. 1. Description of Services The purpose of this service is to provide combined flight engineering and aircrew services to perform HH060G Functional Check Flights, Operational Check Flights, and Acceptance Test Profiles. 1.1. Basic Services. 1.1.1. Functional CHeck Flights (FCFs): The HH-60G helicopter is a maintenance intensive aircraft. An FCF is required after certain repairs have been completed to ensure the air-crafts is airworthy and mission capable. FCFs are very time consuming and detailed. They require a high level of systems knowledge and expertise to correctly accomplish. FCFs are performed in accordance with Air Force Technical Order (AFTO) 1H-60(H)G-6CF-1 and TO 1H-60-(H)G-6CL-1. 1.1.2. Operational Check Flights (OCFs): In addition to the aircraft itself, various electronic components require flight checks after repair or replacement. Flight tests are often performed on maintenance flights are necessary to ensure the required component is working properly and in unison with other systems. 1.1.3. Acceptance Test Profiles (ATPs): The HH-60G helicopter requires periodic depot-level maintenance and inspections. The depot facility for the 33 RQS is currently at Kimhae Air Field, Korea. The acceptance of an aircraft from the depot facility requires an extensive test profile. The contractor should expect 3-6 tasking per fiscal year. The contractor personnel will be reimbursed at rates consistent with JTR/JFTR regulations. 1.1.4. Emergency Services: The 33 RQS is frequently called upon to deploy its forces throughout the globe in response to humanitarian cities, combat tasking, and joint exercises. The contractor may be tasked to support these operations in roles defined in the performance-based work statement. The 33 RQS will coordinate with the contracting officer before asking the contractor to participate in any such tasks. The contractor should expect 3-4 tasking per fiscal year. The contractor personnel will be reimbursed at rates consistent with JTR/JFTR regulations.
