- Description
- The United States Government is seeking to lease approximately 5.000 to 10,000 square feet of contiguous data center space to house government-owned servers, data storage devices, telecommunications devices, and other equipment associated with the support of a federal data center. The Government will maintain/administer the hardware and software; provide the racks, rack PDU's/ATSes where needed, servers, storage devices and networking equipment. Space may by caged for limited access or as a single entrance dedicated to the Government. LOCATION : Space should be located within the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Area. REQUIREMENTS: • A minimum of Tier III (or Tier III-equivalent) infrastructure with dual active path power distribution. Power and mechanical systems shall be fault-tolerant, concurrently maintainable, and have redundancy. (NOTE: Tier ratings are defined by The Uptime Institute.) • Racking and setup of servers. • Rack power in the 4-10 kW/rack range. Power is typically 4ea 208v/20a L6-20 circuits per rack, occasionally 6ea 208v/20a L6-20 circuits. Some equipment such as storage racks might require four 208v/30a L6-30 circuits. A rare rack might require 60a (blades) or three-phase power using special connectors. All rack power must be fault-tolerant with the feeds split evenly across "A"-side and "B"-side power systems. • Standard metrics set. • Intrusion detection system monitored 24x7. • Ability to provide demarcation point for multiple circuits to the FAA Telecommunications Infrastructure. • Ability to provide uninterrupted service for up to 3-5 days without commercial power. • Building must meet all local building & electrical codes applicable to data center operations. • One year lease with 4 option years Response to this expression of interest must address the following: • Company information and experience. • Local, State and Federal Government customers utilizing the data center. • Description and location of the data center facility. • Description of measures and ability to resist natural disasters. • Description of the electrical redundancy and ability to operate without commercial electrical power. - Time to respond to loss of commercial electrical power - Time to respond to loss of CRAC capacity • Description of the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and redundancy. • High level topology diagram of the electrical and HVAC. • Description of fire suppression system. • Estimated cost with description of cost model and schedule of prices per service unit, such as price per sq. ft., cost of power, recurring costs, non-recurring or one-time costs. • Describe the time to make additional space available after notification by FAA point of contact, up to the 5,000 sq. ft. at the same facility. • Description of any Security Certifications and Accreditation's. • Is there the ability for FAA to remotely monitor environmental systems. • Describe the ability to make and maintain video recordings of personnel entering and leaving the FAA computer space. • Describe the ability to make or allow FAA video record within FAA computer space or the ability for FAA to install its own video recording equipment within the facility. • Compliance with appropriate Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) security standards and controls baseline in NIST SP 800-53 for government IT systems categorized as moderate. • Controlled, monitored and logged physical access, to building and segregated areas. • Physical separation from other tenants. • Proof of current SAS-70, Statement on Auditing Standards #70, or SSAE-16, Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements Number 16, audits with no major findings and limited medium findings. • Description of service levels for facility, power, and environment availability expressed as a percentage of uptime. • Description of Ability to monitor and control temperature within a defined range. • Ability to monitor and control humidity within a defined range. • Guaranteed access to authorize FAA employees 24 X 7. • Redundant power and computer room air conditioning.
