- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR BIDS. THERE WILL NOT BE A SOLICITATION, SPECIFICATIONS OR DRAWINGS AVAILABLE WITH THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. IT DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A PROCUREMENT COMMITMENT BY THE DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY, IMPLIED OR OTHERWISE. NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THE SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT. RESPONSE IS STRICTLY VOLUNTARY; NO REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE MADE FOR ANY COST ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING INFORMATION IN RESPONSE TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT OR ANY FOLLOW-UP INFORMATION REQUESTS. THE GOVERNMENT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR OR SUFFER ANY CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES FOR ANY IMPROPER IDENTIFIED INFORMATION. The purpose of this sources sought announcement is to gain knowledge of interested, capable, and all qualified small businesses under the size standard for the NAICS Code 236220 including HUBZone, SDVOSB, and 8(a) firms. To make appropriate acquisitions, the Government, will use responses to this sources sought announcement to determine whether to restrict this future procurement to a certain small business class. The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Artesia, New Mexico intends to issue a solicitation within the next 60 calendar days for the construction of a new auditorium in Artesia, New Mexico. The solicitation will be issued as an Invitation for Bids in accordance with FAR part 14. Contract award shall take place prior to 30 Sep 12. The estimate cost range for construction of the project shall be between $5M - $10M. Interested contractors shall submit their interest via email to terry.gragg@dhs.gov by no later than 22 Jun 12. The Government will then determine its procurement method and shortly thereafter, issue the solicitation. Interested contractors should provide their company name and address, CAGE and DUNS numbers, small business certification type(s) and their qualifications. Contractors must also be able to provide a 20% bid bond and performance and payment bonds in the amount of the resulting contract.
