- This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. This combined synopsis/solicitation SHALL be posted on both FEDBIZOPPS and NECO (https://www.neco.navy.mil/ ). The RFQ number is N00189-12-Q-P018. This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 2005-58 and DFARS Change Notice 20120522. It is the responsibility of the contractor to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. Contractor shall provide towing services of two Navy YC s (Flat Barges) from Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery Maine to Submarine Base, New London, CT. Length, Width 110 X35 . Maximum navigational draft: 8 . Actual drafting 1 2 . One barge would carry stable cargo weighing approximately 10 tons. Period of Performance: July 2 July 10, 2012. Barges MUST be delivered to Submarine Base New London on July 10, 2012. Departure from PNS any weekday (Monday through Friday) within the Period of Performance (except July 4 Holiday) from 0700 1500. Government to provide assist tugs available for departure at PNS and upon arrival in New London at no cost.
