Description

"Special Notice" The West Palm Beach VA Medical Center intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a sole source contract to Varian Medical Systems for comprehensive service to include full service for the Varian Trilogy with Rapid Arc, and the Aria and Eclipse software that will include active system maintenance or monitoring, all software updates, next-day emergency on-site calls, and all system replacement parts and required labor. This vendor is the only source capable of providing the required goods/service, as they are the manufacturer of the equipment, and they have factory trained technicians that are capable of doing work on this specialized proprietary equipment and system software. If the work is performed by any other Vendor other that Varian, then the manufacturers' warranty will be voided. The NAICS Code is 811219. The period of performance will be from July 1, 2012 or date of award through June 31, 2013 for a one year base period, Please see attached Sole Source Justification (J&A). Although this is not an actual solicitation for bids/proposals, and only a notice, anyone that believes that they can perform this work should send a response that may be e-mailed to (David Guley), david.guley@va.gov no later than 12:00pm June 25, 2012.
