- This is a Sources Sought Notice and is for information purposes only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, QUOTATIONS, OR BIDS. NO SOLICITATION IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. A Market Survey is being conducted to determine if there are adequate Small Businesses, HUBZone, 8(a), or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors for the following proposed contract: This is for a Single Award Task Order Contract for support at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, Ship Systems Engineering Station (NSWCCD-SSES), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Task Orders will be awarded under this contract to furnish support services. The support shall include, but is not limited to, the fabrication, installation, testing, maintenance, and removal of Navy shipboard machinery systems and associated components at various test sites and buildings located throughout the NSWCCD-SSES, Philadelphia, PA The contractor will be required to conduct installation and alignment of rotating machinery and components such as ship prime mover engines, generators, propulsion motors, shafting, bearings, gears, and couplings. The contractor will be required to install electrical equipment (such as electric switchgear, transformers, power converters, motor-generators), auxiliary equipment (such as pumps, compressors, fans, chillers and heat exchangers), and control equipment (such as consoles, interface units, and switches). The contactor will be required to construct platforms, machinery foundations, steel and concrete structures, piping, ducting, and cableways for power, controls and data acquisition. The work will be performed in accordance with industry standards, except when Government standards are mandated for selected tasks. It is anticipated that award of a Single Award Task Order Contract will be made in September 2012. The duration of the contract will be for a one (1) year base period with four (4) one year optional periods. Each one year contract ceiling shall not exceed $9,000,000.00. The minimum task order amount is $2,500.00 and a maximum amount is $9M. Performance and Payment Bonds will be required. The NAICS for this project is 238990 and the size standard is $14 million. Responses to this sources sought announcement will be used by the government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. All interested Small Business, HUBZone, 8(a), or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors should submit a narrative demonstrating their experience in similar type contracts and their ability to manage multiple concurrent projects. Capability statements should include size/classification of your firm, bonding capacity (single project and aggregate), details of similar projects, completion dates, references and contract amount.
