- Description
- The USDA Forest Service, Region Six, intends to acquire by contract the production of native grass and forb seed as well as straw. The resulting contract will focus primarily on the needs of the Blue Mountain Area of Region Six (Umatilla, Malheur and Wallowa Whitman National Forests), but other Forests and BLM offices in Oregon and Washington as well as the Forest Service in the State of Idaho may utilize the resulting contracts as well. The intent of this advertisement and resulting solicitation is to establish multiple (not more than five) indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contracts amongst which task orders for seed or straw production will be competed. The contracts will be performance-based with an effective period of five years. The total value of orders placed during this period will be less than $5.0 million. The solicitation resulting from this notice will be issued for full and open competition. All interested offerors may submit a proposal that will be considered for award. Offerors will be evaluated on price, past performance, experience, and the utilization of small businesses for subcontracting opportunities. A solicitation will be made available on this site on or about July 24th, 2012 with proposals due on or about August 22, 2012. Interested parties are encouraged to register on the Interested Vendors List. In order to receive award of a contract, offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database at www.ccr.gov as well as the On-line Representations and Certifications Application web site at www.orca.bpn.gov.
