Description

Pursuant to FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), intends to issue a sole source award to Biomerieux Inc. for the Vitek 2 Compact Instrument to be located at 300 River Place, Suite 6800, Detroit, MI 48207. The VITEK will be utilized for the identification of microorganisms associated with investigative environmental samples, laboratory environmental monitoring samples, and quality control organisms. This notice is not a request for proposal and no solicitation will be issued. Any firm that believes it can provide the stated equipment can provide supporting documents demonstrating their products capability and specifications within three (3) calendar days from the date of publication of this notice. Responses received will be used for future acquisitions. Information can be sent to the Purchasing Agent; Ms. Natalie Mitchell, Natalie.mitchell@fda.hhs.gov. No telephone or facsimile requests will be accepted. This procurement will be prepared in accordance with FAR Part 13, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
