- NOTE: THIS NOTICE REPLACES SOLICITATION NUMBER P12PS01026. This NOTICE has been prepared in accordance with FAR PART 36.213-2. This requirement is available for Small Businesses under NAICS code 238160. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Work shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, supplies, equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary to clean, prepare, and repaint the wood shingle roof of the James A. Garfield Home at the James A. Garfield National Historic Site. Project also includes all of the wood shingle roofs on bay windows or other projections. Roof is a complex shape and located at two-three story heights - OSHA fall prevention/protection systems required. ESTIMATED RANGE: Between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. LOCATION: James A Garfield National Historic Site, 8095 Mentor Avenue, Mentor OH 44060 ISSUANCE DATE: The anticipated issuance date of the solicitation is on or about July 20, 2012 (subject to change). The Period of Performance for this contract is 45 calendar days. Be advised that this requirement may be delayed, cancelled, or revised at any time during process based on decisions related to Department of the Interior (DOI) and National Park Service (NPS) priorities. SITE VISIT: When the solicitation post, please refer to contract clause 52.236-27 for site visit information. AVAILABILITY OF INFORMATION: The solicitation will be posted and available for download along with plans and/or specifications without charge at the National Business Center (http://ideasec.nbc.gov) on or about July 20, 2012. REQUEST DATE: Requests for copies of the upcoming solicitation should be submitted to the contract specialist by the close date of this presolicitation notice. GENERAL INFORMATION: THE FOLLOWING REGISTRATIONS SHALL BE COMPLETED BEFORE TIME OF AWARD. Offerors who are not registered are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to apply for registration immediately.
