Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Atlanta VA Medical Center, Decatur, GA, NCO 7 contemplates negotiation of sole source procurement with Philips Medical System, 3000 Minute Man Road, Andover, MA 01810 to expand the existing telemetry monitoring system located at the Atlanta VA Medical Center, 1670 Clairmont Road, Decatur, GA 30033. This procurement requires the installation of additional equipment and software upgrades to the current telemetry system installed by Philips. Qualified offerors must be able to install and configure to an existing fully operational Telemetry System for coverage on medical center patient floors. The contractor shall provide the following components of the system with associated parts to accomplish the implementation of 11 MP3O's for Variable Acuity Unit with Central Station and Database: "Philips IntelliVue TRX transmitter/receivers " IntelliVue ITS4843B smart hopping access points "M3155 Information Center Network DB Rel N.O "M3154 Large Database Server Upgrade Rel N.O "Large Flat Panel Displays "All required hardware for the installation of the above components They are essential components required for expanding telemetry coverage to all patient floors in the medical center. This procurement involves licensed, proprietary software, software upgrades and proprietary passwords. Please provide a capabilities statement to provide the equipment, software upgrades, installation services as well as training for medical staff using the equipment. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 334510 with a size standard of 500 employees. Justification for this sole source procurement is in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A)and(B), only one responsible source. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation documents will be issued. Firms that believe they can meet the VA's requirements must submit proof to the Contracting Officer no later than July 13, 2012 at 4:00 P.M. EST. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
