- Request for Information of a US Flag Vessel The purpose of this market survey is to gather information regarding vendor's ability to provide one U.S. Flag US Coast Guard certified vessel to support the U.S. Navy. 2. SCOPE OF WORK: A vessel to assist in the deployment and potential recovery of two (2) to five (5) Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs). In support of the proposed operation, 1 or 2 SMEs will be on site to assemble the USVs, perform operational checks, and oversee the deployment operations. All assembly and testing of the vehicles will be conducted pier-side or ashore prior to departure. To support this requirement, the selected vessel must have sufficient deck space and sufficient deck equipment to deploy or recover the systems. The support vessel must have approximately 324 square ft of open deck space to accommodate all five systems in one deployment trip. A smaller vessel could also be utilized if multiple deployment trips are made. When packaged for deployment, each system has the following maximum outer dimensions: Length: 7 ft Width: 4 ft Height: 4ft (Not including antenna) Weight: ~350lbs Antenna Mast: 4ft (located in the center top side of the vehicle)
