- The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Natick Contracting Division, Kansas Street, Natick, MA on behalf of the U.S. Army Product Manager Unmanned Aircraft Systems, intends to award a sole source contract with Thales Communications, Inc. of Clarksburg Maryland, for Vehicle Adapters, AN/PRC-148 commercial items for which the Government intends to solicit to only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302--1(b)(i), "the agency's minimum needs can only be satisfied by Unique supplies or services available from only one source or only one supplier with unique capabilities". These products are being purchased to be integrated into an existing Thales Communication System for which no other part is compatible. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no solicitation will be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirement may give written notification to the Contracting Officer. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement listed. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
