Description
THOROUGHBRED THINNING PROJECT 2012 -- SAWTOOTH NATIONAL FOREST IN APPROXIMATELY 1 DAY, THE SOLICITATION FOR THIS COMMERCIAL SERVICE PROJECT WILL BE AVAILABLE TO VIEW AND PRINT. The solicitation is for tree thinning and stand improvement activities on the Sawtooth National Forest, Minidoka Ranger District. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies (except those designated as Government furnished), and incidentals to perform all work necessary on the areas specified. All aspects of the work program shall be performed in an organized, systematic manner to assure services will be performed over the entire unit. This contract is a Performance Based, firm-fixed price contract. The period of performance will be from approximately August 15, 2012 through October 15, 2012. Specific clearances would be required to work outside of this time period. Work would be available to begin in CY 2012 and is preferred. The Contractor may work any day of the week or time of day because this is a lightly used recreational area. Exceptions to this work time will be made as deemed appropriate by the CO and/or COR and may depend on the seasonal condition of the site, including such things as wildlife use patterns or fire restrictions. The schedule of work units are arranged so as to minimize the impact to wildlife species and may not be changed without prior approval of the CO or COR. This schedule will be influenced by the actual rate of work progress. If the contractor proposes to work in months other than those stated, they may be allowed to do so, pending acceptable site conditions and regulatory restrictions. Final Inspection will be on business days only (Monday-Friday). The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies (except those designated as Government-furnished), and incidentals to perform all work necessary LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION The unit is on the Cassia Division of the Minidoka Ranger District. The unit is approximately 45 miles southeast of Twin Falls, Idaho. The unit is located in T14S, R18E, Sections 33 & 34; T15S, R18E, Sections 3 & 4; Boise Meridian.
