Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network 23 Contracting Office, Minneapolis, Minnesota intends to award a sole source purchase order in accordance with FAR Part 12. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334516, and the business size standard is 500 employees. The Minneapolis VA Health Care System (MVAHCS) center has a requirement for one (1) Bond III processing module, stock #21.2201 and one (1) Bond system control kit, stock # 21.1950. The MVAHCS has an existing Leica microsystem at the facility and there are no other vendors that can fulfill the requirement. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price requirement contract. This Special Notice, VA263-12-I-0885, will be issued on or about July 10, 2012 with a tentative closing date of July 17, 2012 and will be issued via FedBizOpps electronic posting system at http://www.fedbizops.gov. The date is not firm and may change due to events out of our control. The anticipated award date will be July 30, 2012. This procurement is listed as Unrestricted. Offerors are responsible for checking the web site regularly to obtain amendments. Requests must include company name, address, telephone and facsimile numbers of the requester, e-mail address, Dunn and Bradstreet number and business size. All proposals should come through the FedBizOps system and will be accepted until 3:00 CDT on July 17, 2012. Facsimile or e-mail requests will be accepted. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) Database in order to obtain access in FedBizOpps. Certification must be current and active to be eligible for contract award. Questions regarding this solicitation must be in writing. They shall be sent by email to karen.cox@va.gov or by fax to 612-333-3792. No telephonic inquiries will be accepted.
