Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, National Cemetery Administration intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) numbered VA786A-12-Q-0076 for project #805-NRM12-009 entitled "Paving Lot In Maintenance Area" on or about July 9, 2012, for Calverton National Cemetery located at 210 Princeton Blvd, Calverton, NY 11933-9413. Unless additional notice is given or this notice is modified or cancelled, the full solicitation, specifications and drawings will be posted on FedBizOPPS (www.fbo.gov). This solicitation is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, Required Central Contractor Registration (CCR); In accordance with VAAR 852.219-10 VA Notice of Total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside and VAAR 819-7005; Offeror submitting a quote must be Center for Veterans Enterprise verified and visible in the VIP database at time of quote due date and award. There will be a pre-bid site investigation; all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-bid site investigation will be included in the solicitation package. NAICS Code: 237310Size Standards: $33.5 Million Period of Performance: 30 calendar days from date of award. Magnitude of Construction for this project is between $25,000 and $100,000 This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming RFQ solicitation to satisfy the requirement of FAR 5.201 and 5.203. This Contract Specialist will not be able to answer any questions to this notice until an RFQ is issued. Once the RFQ is issued, interested parties must submit questions via email to the Contract Specialist. Questions will be answered through an amendment of the solicitation. All interested parties should register via FedBizOpps interested vendors list. It is the responsibility of the offeror to monitor and download amendments from FedBizOpps which may be issued to this solicitation. The scope of work for this project includes, but is not limited to the contractor installing asphalt pavement and markings on an existing gravel parking lot. This will allow the cemetery to expand the existing, adjacent equipment parking area for the sites extensive array of grounds maintenance equipment. The existing gravel lot has been compacted and has a gravel base that was being used as a equipment parking lot. The gravel lot is not conductive to keeping the equipment clean during heavy rains.
