- Pre-Solicitation Notice for Construction of a Staff Training Building McDowell County, West Virginia Description This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice. The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) intends to issue an Invitation for Bids (IFB) to award a single, firm fixed-price contract for construction of a Staff Training Building (STB) in McDowell County, West Virginia. IFB # IFBP0700CC00002 is for the construction of a Staff Training Building (STB) as part of the existing Federal Correctional Institution. All related work must be completed within 320 calendar days after issuance of a notice to proceed. The total building area to be constructed is approximately 900 square meters and estimated price range for this project is greater than $2,000,000. The solicitation and corresponding documents will be available on fedbizopps.gov for this project on a date to be determined. The site will be made available by appointment, for inspection by interested parties, prior to a pre-bid conference scheduled for a date to be determined. Exact location of this pre-bid conference will be confirmed at a later date. The Staff Training Building will have a gross building area of approximately 900 square meters, which will include classroom instruction, training area for self-defense and physical fitness, showers, locker rooms, offices, storage, toilet rooms, kitchen, and parking to accommodate approximately 120 cars. This procurement is not a small business set-aside. For consideration on this project the offeror should be a firm or joint venture with experience, individually or as a member of a team, successfully and satisfactorily completing a project of similar size and scope.
