- Federal Business Opportunities, Sources Sought (Request for Information) Office of Information Technology (OIT), Austin Information Technology Center (AITC), Acquisition of Sonet Ring Equipment, VA118A-12-I-0200 This is a FBO Sources Sought (Request for Information, RFI) for a tentative requirement for the acquisition of equipment and services as described in the List of Equipment attached for the AITC in Austin Texas. The equipment shall include setup and support for a period of 12 months. The required equipment is to support Sonet Ring service to the AITC office. As part of its market research, Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing this Sources Sought/RFI to determine if an adequate number of qualified interested contractors, capable of providing the equipment and services described in the attached List of Equipment, exist. The Government may use the responses to this Sources Sought/RFI for information and planning purposes. The List of Equipment describes only the currently contemplated possible scope of services and may vary from the work scope in a final Request for Quotations (RFQ). It is anticipated that a formal RFQ will be issued within the next 3 weeks. This Sources Sought/RFI is only for the purpose of identifying potential sources as part of VA's market research. No RFQ exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the RFQ. There is no guarantee that VA will issue a formal RFQ on FBO. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this Sources Sought/RFI. This Sources Sought/RFI is issued for information and planning purposes only and does not itself constitute a RFQ. The Government does not intend to make an award based only on responses to this Sources Sought/RFI. All information received in response to this Sources Sought/RFI marked "Proprietary" will be protected and handled accordingly. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained in their response. Responses to the Sources Sought/RFI will not be returned. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this Sources Sought/RFI. VA will not pay for information received in response to this Sources Sought/RFI. There is no commitment by the Government to issue an RFQ, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by industry responses to this Sources Sought/RFI.
