- The Regional Contracting Office Vicenza intends to award a contract for thermal insulation for walls for building 301 at Caserma Ederle, Vicenza, Italy. The sole purpose of this PSN is to publicize the upcoming solicitation and to solicit the highest number of firms. 1.NUMBER AND TITLE OF THE PROJECT: Project E8-44041-1J, Provide Wall External Insulation Building 301, Caserma Ederle, Vicenza, Italy. 2.DESCRIPTION: The purpose of this project is to provide thermal insulation for walls for building 301 at Caserma Ederle, Vicenza, Italy. Work includes but is not limited to, replace downspouts with new in copper, installation of thermal insulation jacket on perimeter walls, as required. 3.SOA : OG1 classification 1. 4.FUNDING: The project is funded. 5.PERFORMANCE SITE: The site for the work is the military installation in Vicenza (Caserma Ederle). 6.PROJECT AMOUNT: The project amount is between $100,000 and $250,000. This amount is informational only. The offerors are not bound to submit an offer within that range. 7.SELECTION CRITERIA: Will be established in the solicitation. 8.TYPE OF CONTRACT: Lumpsum amount. 9.PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: The requirement contemplates also the design. Design and construction will be completed in a 120-day period. 10.SITE VISIT: Site visit will be conducted 20 August 2012. 11.MISCELLANEOUS: The solicitation package will be provided, free of charge, along with Statement of Work, drawings and any other pertinent documentation only to those firms that have submitted their response to this Pre-Solicitation Notice. 12.HOW TO PARTICIPATE: The parties interested to submit an offer against this requirement will submit their request no later than 03 August 2012 to the following e-mail: lucinda.s.archer.mil@mail.mil and patrizia.meneguzzo.ln.asc@mail.mil, indicating as subject the number of this project (E8-44041-1J). The following information is required: name of the firm, address, phone and fax number and e-mail address. The request will include the information of the person who will attend the site visit: NAME, LAST NAME, PLACE OF BIRTH, DATE OF BIRTH, CITIZENSHIP, TYPE OF DOCUMENT and NUMBER OF DOCUMENT. This information will be submitted to the competent authorities to grant the offerors access to the site. 13.REQUIREMENTS: In order to conduct business with the United States Government, all companies must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR). When a company submits a quote, it is mandatory that a valid copy of their company's Central Contractor Registration (CCR) profile is attached. Offeror's in order to be eligible for award, you will have a valid CCR registration profile. The registration is as follows: i.Dun & Bradstreet (DUNS) Italian companies register with DUNS, at http://dbitaly.dnb.com/Chklang.htm. Upon issuance of a "DUNS" number, then request: ii.NATO CAGE (NCAGE) N-CAGE at http://www.dlis.dla.mil/forms/form_AC135.asp.
