PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: This is NOT an Invitation for Bid. The 45th Contracting Squadron, Patrick AFB, FL announces the anticipated release of Solicitation Number FA2521-12-B-0003 is being issued as an Invitation for Bids (IFB). All applicable provisions and clauses are included in the actual solicitation. This electronic announcement constitutes the only pre-solicitation notice being issued. This solicitation is being offered to Economically Disadvantaged Women Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) firms; all others will be deemed non responsive. Contract award will be based on Sealed Bid - FAR Part 14. An award will be made to the responsible bidder (FAR 9.104-1) whose bid is responsive to the terms of the invitation for bids and is most advantageous to the Government, considering only price and the price-related factors included in the invitation. Title: Repair Underground Electric Cable Project Number: SXHT 11-1029 Place of performance: Patrick AFB, FL 32925 Brief description of work: This requirement consists of all labor, materials and equipment necessary to replace approximately 35000 LF of existing 15K V underground cable with new feeder, each consisting of three single conductor 350 kcmil 15KV EPR insulated cable with 1/3-sized concentric neutral shields and 133% insulation level. NAICS Code: 237130 Size Standard: $33.5M Construction magnitude: $1,000,000 - $5,000,000 IFB will be available on or about 19 Jul 2012 with bid closing date on or about 20 Aug 2012. The performance period for this project will be 270 calendar days after receiving the Notice to Proceed. This acquisition is small business set-aside to: Women Owned Small Business (WOSB) to include Economically Disadvantaged Women Owned Small Business (EDWOSB).
