- Description
- In accordance with FAR subpart 6.302-1, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Regenstrief Institute, Inc in Indianapolis, IN. The purpose of this procurement is to extract longitudinal data to: 1) examine the risk of pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) among women with a first known chlamydia infection between testing and treatment, in comparison to the risk of PID in a similar group of women with a negative first documented test for chlamydia, and the risk in women with repeat chlamydial infections (but no known gonorrhea), 2) describe trends in acute PID diagnosis by documented etiology (e.g., positive tests for chlamydia, gonorrhea, or neither within 2 weeks of PID diagnosis), and 3) estimate the association between chlamydia screening rates and PID incidence in various age cohorts and racial subgroups. Regenstrief Medical Record System (RMRS) is the only known, established system that contains complete longitudinal data on chlamydia and gonorrhea infection and PID diagnosis and treatment in defined populations. Interested parties who feel that they possess the capabilities to provide the services described above should submit a capability statement demonstrating their abilities to provide the services Please send your documentation to Sharon Cunningham at the office identified above, by email at cux0@cdc.gov. Documentation should be received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis to be considered by CDC. A determination by the CDC not to compete this proposed contract, based upon responses to this notification, is solely within discretion of the government.
