- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS SYNOPSIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. This is a Sources Sought Announcement only and does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Disposition Services will take procurement action in this matter. Further, DLA Disposition Services will not be responsible for any cost incurred in furnishing the information requested. This announcement is for formal market research only and should not be considered a Request for Proposal (RFP). A sources sought is a market research tool being used to determine availability and adequacy of potential business sources prior to determining the method of acquisition. The intent of this sources sought synopsis is to identify qualified 8(a) small business concerns, Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZONE) small business concerns, Service Disabled Veteran Owned small business concerns, and Emerging Small Business concerns, in addition to companies capable of performing business in Korea for a Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Quantity Contract for the disposal of industrial waste property. The scope of work includes supervision, skilled personnel, tools, equipment, transportation and materials as necessary to perform all work for the disposal of the industrial waste property, which includes, but is not limited to, wooden furniture, mattress, resin, fiber canvas, paper, plastics, carpets, and vinyl, for DLA Disposition Services at Gimcheon, Korea. Pickup locations include Furnishing Branch of Housing Division in Camp Castle (Dongduchon), Furnishing Branch of Housing Division in Camp Humphreys (pyongtae), and Camp Market (Bupyong). Upon review of industry response to this Sources Sought Synopsis, the Government will determine whether a small business set-aside is in the Government's best interest. The Government intends to solicit and award a Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Quantity for Services. The NAICS Code is 562211. The duration of the contract is anticipated to be for one (1) twelve (12)) month base period from the date of an initial contract award and will include two (2) twelve month options. A response to this sources sought synopsis will not be considered an adequate response to any forthcoming solicitation announcement. A response to this sources sought synopsis will not result in your firm's name being added to a plan holder's list to receive a copy of the solicitation. There is no solicitation available at this time. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS: Interested small business firms matching the categories referenced above must submit a brief capabilities statement package (no more than 3 pages in length, single-spaced, 12-point font minimum) demonstrating ability to perform the requested services. This documentation shall address, as a minimum, the following: (1) Company Profile to include number of employees, office location(s), DUNS number and or Cage Code and statement identifying small business category and current status of the small business classification. (2) Relevant Experience within the last five years, including any contract number, and Government/Agency or firm point of contact (POC) and current telephone numbers for the POC. If emailing your response, please send it in PDF or MS Word format and reference Industrial Waste Korea Sources Sought in the subject of your e-mail. Do not include or attach brochures in addition to your response. Responding to this request for information does not obligate a firm to respond to any resulting solicitation, nor is the Government obligated in any way to issue a solicitation as a result of this request, regardless of the responses received. Please provide your information in English. The submittal package must be received no later than 2:00 p.m. Hawaiian Standard Time on Tuesday, July 31, 2012. Electronic submissions of the Statement of Capabilities Package can be sent electronically to rebecca.kanetani@dla.mil. The Government WILL NOT provide a debrief on the results of the survey. All information submitted will be held in a confidential manner and will only be used for the purpose intended.
