- This is a Notice of Intent to issue a sole source purchase order using Simplified Acquisition Procedures of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 to Jasper Rubber Products for Gaskets, 400 MM Box Gasket. Jasper Rubber is the only company known who has the tooling needed to make this gasket to the current Mil Spec The Air Force and MCAAP spent 11 months qualifying this gasket. It would not be cost effective to quality a new for tooling and to much time is requested which would affect the production line in turn would be lost time for the government. Any purchase order will be awarded under other than full and open competition as authorized by FAR 13.106-1(b) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii). This is not a request for offers. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct future competitive procurements. Telephone requests or inquiries WILL NOT be accepted.
