Description

United States Department of Veterans Affairs Rocky Mountain Network, NCO 19 4100 East Mississippi Avenue, Suite 900 Denver, Colorado 80246-3055 Notice: Sole-Source Announcement 1.The Fort Harrison VAMC Engineering Services Department (138), Montana intends to negotiate sole-source acquisition with HELENA RECYCLING, LLC; a certified small business vendor for recycling services regarding the collection and disposal of recyclable materials. Disposal are to be performed in such a manner as not to create conditions detrimental to public health or to constitute a public economical method for separation and preparation of waste streams for removal and disposal by contractor. The system and procedures must be achievable in accordance with all applicable federal and state laws; with VA resources and in coordination with the VA internal collection system. The vendor is responsible for ensuring the proposed service will work effectively in achieving the performance specified. Types of recycling include: plastics 1-7, tin, aluminum, light weight cardboard, magazines, newspapers, home office paper (white/pastel paper, copy/fax paper, post-it notes, manila envelopes, file folders, paper ream wrappers), and junk mail. 2. In addition, the VA will be able to maintain the best level of operation for the tax-payers dollar; servicing various security areas of the VA Medical Facility and assuring a cradle-to-grave continuity of recycling services. Interested offerors may identify their interest and capability to meet the requirements by providing a capability statement and qualification which must contain specific information on supplying this type of service. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all capability statements received within seven (7) days after the submission date of this sole-source announcement will be considered by the Government. Person to contact is Steven R.
