- SYNOPSIS FOR STRADDLE TRUCKS FOR TWO DLA DISTRIBUTION LOCATIONS: SAN DIEGO, CA AND NORFOLK, VA. FIRM FIXED PRICE CONTRACT - STRADDLE TRUCKS FOR TWO DLA DISTRIBUTION LOCATIONS The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Distribution has a requirement to purchase various Straddle Trucks for two DLA Distribution Depots. The Contractor shall provide all engineering, manufacturing, supervision, labor, equipment, accessories and material necessary to furnish, deliver, and set-up two (2) straddle trucks at DLA Distribution Norfolk, Virginia and one (1) straddle truck at DLA Distribution San Diego, California. All equipment furnished shall be new from the manufacturer's most current production and meet current industry standards, conforming to the best quality of materials and workmanship. The Contractor shall be responsible for transportation, off-loading, set-up and equipment familiarization training. The Contractor shall make all necessary arrangements for equipment delivery to and set-up at the specified locations. A Statement of Work (SOW) will be provided with all the specifications of these trucks and will be included in the solicitation. This solicitation is Unrestricted; the NAICS Code for this procurement is 333924. The size standard for this NAICS Code is 750 employees. The tentative time frame for issuance of the Request for Proposal (RFP) SP330012R0045 is on or around August 9, 2012. The solicitation will establish the RFP due date and time. Access to the solicitation will only be made available to prospective offerors via the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website at http: www.fbo.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be distributed. Any questions concerning this requirement should be directed to the Acquisition Specialist, Angel D. Maldonado, at angel.maldonado@dla.mil. All questions should be submitted in writing via email to the above. Prospective offerors are cautioned concerning their responsibility to access the website for any amendments that may be issued under the RFP. There will be no advance notification of amendment issuance. Prospective offerors are advised to consult the website frequently to check for any amendments. Amendments may be issued up until the proposal due date. Failure to acknowledge amendments may render your proposal ineligible for award. To receive awards resulting from solicitations issued after May 31, 1998, your company must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Contractor may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-888-227-2423 or via the Internet at http:// www.ccr.gov. Prospective contractors shall also complete electronic annual representations and certifications at http://orca.bpn.gov in conjunction with required registration the CCR database. All responsible offerors may submit a proposal which shall be considered by this agency. The Government intends to award one contract as a result of this RFP. Award will be made to the lowest price technically acceptable offeror for all items. An offeror must be determined responsible according to the standards of FAR Subpart 9 to be eligible for award.
