- This is a Regional Indefinite Quantity Contract to provide interior and exterior painting, and incidental work. The contract will be for 2 separate Federal Activities in various locations within the following areas of responsibility, (1) Naval Station, Newport, RI and (2) Naval Submarine Base New London, Groton, CT. The exact location will be stated on each individual task order issued. Each site location (Newport, RI and Groton, CT) will administer the work they order. This procurement will be solicited using Invitation for Bid (IFB) procedures. This solicitation is for a base period of one year with the provision of four twelve month option periods. The Government may extend the term of the contract for a period of one to twelve months. The total duration including the exercise of any options shall not exceed 60 months. The proposed procurement is 100% small business. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 238320 and the size standard is $14,000,000.00. This (IFB) will be posted on the NECO website on or about 13 July 2012. Estimated bid opening date is 16 Aug 2012 @ 1:00 PM. Interested parties may view and/or download the document at the following web address: https://www.neco.navy.mil. Notification of any amendments will be made only through this site. Offeror is required to verify the number of amendments issued prior to the bid opening date. Therefore, it is the contractors ™ responsibility to check the site daily for any posted changes to the solicitation. An official plan holders list will also be maintained on this site. In addition, all contractors are required to register in the Department of Defense (DoD) Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database. Inactive registration in the CCR may make the bidder ineligible for award.
