- The US Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District intends to award a sole source fixed price contract to Wildlands, Inc. under the authority of 10. U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as authorized by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source. The resulting contract will be for the purchase of conservation bank credits for Valley Elderberry Longhorn Beetle (VELB) and Fresh Water Emergent Marsh Habitat (FWEM). The conservation bank credits are required due to impacts resulting from levee repairs and construction along the Sacramento and lower American Rivers. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 541620. Wildlands, Inc. is the only firm that has obtained approvals from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) to provide the VELB and FWEM credits necessary to meet this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within forty-five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The anticipated award date is 30 September 2012.
