- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is UNRESTRICTED. The NAICS Code for this synopsis/solicitation is NAICS, Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing, Size Standard 500 employees. Solicitation/Purchase Request Number F2KBAD2144A003 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This document incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-60 effective 26 July 2012. The Government intends to award one contract with one Contract line items (CLIN) identified below: CLIN 0001. Digital Tube Base MCA with S504C Osprey Digital Tube Base MCA. Includes USB Cable (3m /10 ft), Ethernet cable (3m/10 ft), single-port PoE injector (dual voltage 120/220 V, 3 pcs. 1.2 m (4 ft) MCX-BNC cable, S504CGenie 2000 basic spectroscopy software, Model No: Osprey or equivalent. Photomultiplier Tube Additional Specification Requirements: PMT base compatible with Alpha Spectra Model 8TX5A1/2 (9266) Scintillation Detector Integrated digital Multi-Channel Analyzer (MCA), Preamplifier, and High-Voltage supply integrated spectroscopy software for control, data processing, and analysis Usable with NaI(T1) as well as newer scintillator types (e.g. LaBr3(CE)) Ethernet readout. The PMT base system will be used in conjunction with an Alpha Spectra Scintillation Detector to beam characterization and other measurements on high-energy charged particles at accelerator facilities. The base system must fit the Alpha Spectra detector and be able to do on-board pules processing and output a histogram.
