- The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Network Contracting Activity (NCO) VISN6 Central Acquisition Service intends to contract by means of other than full and open competition for a service contract for the RPM Gatin System, Part Number RGA001005002; ARIA Chart QA, Part Number ISB0011005014; Software Service Support Agreement, Part Number VAR001001011; ARIA Reports System, ISB0015004 and Software Support Agreement for two years to maintain the ARIA Reports system. The government intends to award a sole source contract for this requirement. The NAICS Code is 334517 and the classification code is 6515. The suggested vendor is VARIAN MED SYSTEM INC, 3100 Hansen Way, Palo Alto, CA 94304-1030. This equipment is to support the Veterans Affairs Medical Center located in Durham North CArolina. The VA intends to procure this requirement on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no solicitation will be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Responses are due by August 17th, 2012 at 11:00 AM. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
