- The Sawtooth National Forest is pleased to announce the availability of a concession prospectus on the Sawtooth National Recreation Area. This prospectus is being issued to solicit applications for a concession special use permit authorizing use of National Forest System lands and the operation and maintenance of Government-owned recreation facilities. The permit term will begin January 1, 2014 and will be for five years, with an additional five years that may be awarded, non-competitively, at the discretion of the Forest Service, upon satisfactory completion of the original term. A "show-me" trip is scheduled for September 11-12, 2012. This trip will include a walk-through and discussion of a portion of the sites managed on the Sawtooth National Recreation Area. Application packages must be received by the close of business (12:00 pm MST) on November 14, 2012. The authorized officer for this business opportunity is the Forest Supervisor for the Sawtooth National Forest, 2647 Kimberly Road East, Twin Falls ID 83301.
