Description
NOTE: THIS NOTICE IS RESTRICTED TO ONLY INTERESTED PARTIES LOCATED IN THE CONTINENTIAL UNITED STATES. Norfolk Ship Support Activity (NSSA) Norfolk, VA is seeking to identify potential sources to prepare work item specifications for ship repair IAW Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM) Volume VII, Chapter Four, identify and purchase materials necessary for repairs, kit material, and provide warehousing services and shipment of material to support U. S. Naval DDG class vessels to be home ported in Rota, Spain. NOTE: The NAICS code has been revised to 541330, Engineering Services. It is anticipated that a Cost-Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract will be awarded with a one-year base and four one-year options. All questions must be submitted in writing (e-mail) no later than seven (7) days prior to the closing date. Telephone questions will not be accepted. Sources are requested to identify any on-going Government contract vehicles they may have for the same or similar work. Please include the name and number of the on-going contract, contract scope, contract type, period of performance, contract deliverables, dollar thresholds and limitations, the issuing Government agency, and the name and telephone number of the Contracting Officer. Documentation of technical expertise and experience must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional area expertise and experience to compete for this potential acquisition. Standard company brochures will not be reviewed. Submissions are not to exceed five (5) typewritten pages in no less than 12 font. Only interested parties who intend to submit a proposal should submit a written expression of interest to the e-mail address stated below no later than 12:00 pm eastern standard time (EST) on August 14, 2012. Potential sources are notified that the Limitations on Subcontracting clause (FAR 52.219-14) will be included in any RFP set aside for small business concerns. This sources sought notice is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) nor does its issuance restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach. The Government will not reimburse the contractor for any cost associated with preparing or submitting a response to this notice. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR A PROPOSAL. Respondents will not be notified of the results and the Government is not required to answer any questions submitted in regards to this sources sought notice.
