- DESCRIPTION: NOAA's Acquisition & Grants Office, Western Acquisition Division-Boulder, in support of the Office of National Marine Sanctuaries (ONMS) seeks potential vendors to provide maintenance support services on the ONMS Research Vessel R-8501 (SRVX). The general characteristics of the vessel are as follows; 85' length, 23' 4" beam, 6' draft, and displacement of approximately 88 tons. The vessel is equipped with two main propulsion engines - diesel- MTU Model 12V4000 - M90, 2460BHP @ 2100 RPM; and a two generator set - diesel - Northern Lights Model M984K, 32 KW. General requirements include maintenance to the hull, engines, generators, electrical system, and the deck equipment/systems. Specifics will be provided when the solicitation is issued. TENTATIVE SOLICITATION ISSUE DATE: August 10, 2012 TENTATIVE PROPOSAL DUE DATE: August 24, 2012 ANTICIPATED AWARD DATE: August 31, 2012 PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: Date of award through September 30, 2013.
