Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a Cost Plus Fixed-Fee contract to Raytheon Missiles Systems (RMS), P.O. Box 11337, Tucson, AZ 85734-1337, to update software version v8.220 to correct anomalies identified by the user. The effort shall include qualification and Captive Carry flight test to validate and verify implementation of the correction of the anomalies. RMS is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer, and integrator of the AIM-9X Sidewinder Missile. Therefore, the Government has limited rights to the Technical Data Package, which would be required to competitively award this requirement. As such, RMS the only known source possessing the requisite technical knowledge and expertise to fulfill these requirements in the required timeframe and without duplication of costs. Anticipated date of award is 24 August 2012.All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Telephone inquiries or responses will not be accepted.
