Description

THIS IS A SPECIAL NOTICE ANNOUNCEMENT FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY in accordance with FAR 13-106-1 The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to award a sole source purchase order to St. Lawrence University for the ecological study of water quality of Black Lake. It will focus on the physical and chemical conditions of several lake habitat, open water basins, shorelines, inflow and outflow streams, the biological conditions of lower trophic levels and distribution of exotic species. Also will map the current aerial coverage of vegetation in the lake. St. Lawrence University has been working with the Black Lake Association since 1995 and is very familiar with the ecological makeup of the Lake. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested persons may identify their interest and respond to this requirement. The Government will consider responses received by 10 August 2012 by 8:00 AM EST. Inquiries will be accepted via e-mail only to cheryl.a.michener@usace.army.mil.
