- Description
- The Air Force 49 Medical Group (49 MDG) and the 49th Contracting Squadron (49 CONS) is currently seeking sources for a service requirement for PART TIME Psychiatrist Services at Holloman AFB, NM. If your company is a recruiting agency and not a sole proprieter, please provide a pool of qualified/available candidates with your response. If you are a sole proprieter, please provide dates of availability. This is not a solicitation announcement. This notice neither constitutes a Request for Proposal, nor does it restrict the 49 MDG and the 49 CONS to an ultimate acquisition approach. No contract will be awarded from this announcement and requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement. Any information submitted by respondents to this notice is strictly voluntary. This Sources Sought Notice is in support of market research being conducted by the 49 MDG and the 49 CONS to determine potential sources capable of fulfilling all requirements associated with Psychiatric services on Holloman. The contractor shall manage and direct psychiatric services for approximately 1000 hours annually. Formulate plans for psychiatric services. Direct mental health clinics. Advises on problems related to mental health and prevention of mental disorders. Serve as medical and psychiatric consultant to clinical psychologists and clinical social workers. Assign psychiatric nurses and technicians to functions contributing to the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Advises on kind and quantity of psychiatric supplies and equipment. Coordinate psychiatric services with other medical activities. Instruct interns and residents in psychiatric principles and procedures. Serve as consultant on psychiatry services necessary to perform all tasks (Examine, evaluate, diagnose, and treat psychiatric disorders) associated with position at Holloman Air Force Base (HAFB), NM. The contractor shall implement all policies and procedures as approved by the 49 MDG Commander. Contractor will ensure at least 24 months of experience within the last 36 months, maintain current board certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and have completion of residency or fellowship in psychiatry acceptable to the Surgeon General, HQ USAF (mandatory). Firms responding to this sources sought notice are also requested to provide the 49 CONS with capability statements, which need to include at a minimum: -Company Name -Point of Contact Name and Number -Business Status (8(a), Small, Hubzone, Woman-owned, etc.) -Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code -Capabilities statement should be submitted via e-mail to all of the following: medproposals@holloman.af.mil and sally.roberts@holloman.af.mil and sandra.east@holloman.af.mil no later than 1:00 p.m. mountain standard time (MST) on Monday 20 Aug 12. Holloman AFB is located about 9 miles west of Alamogordo, New Mexico on Highway 70/82; 90 miles north of El Paso, Texas, and 60 miles east of Las Cruces, New Mexico.
