Description
THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT AND NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION. The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), Research Triangle Park, NC intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Lyme Computer Systems, Inc., Lyme, NH 03768 pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)--Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This purchase is to renew existing licenses of Mathworks Software for a period of one (1) year with support as follows: SUBDW64 Matlab Distributed Computing - Engine 64 pack; SUBML4 Matlab License Renewal, 4 seats; SUBCO Matlab Compiler; SUBDM4 Parallel Computing Toolbox, 4 seats; SUBOP4 Optimization License, 4 seats; SUBST4 Statistics Toolbox, 4 seats; SUBML2 Matlab License Renewal, 2 seats; SUBB12 Bioinformatics License, 2 seats; SUBCF Curve Fitting License; SUBDM2 Parallel Computing toolbox, 2 seats; SUBNN Neural Network Toolbox; SUBPO2 Optimization License, 2 seats; SUBSG Signal Processing Toolbox License; and SUBST2 Statistics Toolbox, 2 seats. This procurement will renew the existing software licenses that are currently used by the NIEHS scientific community. This software assists with development, understanding, and implementation of statistical and mathematical methods for evaluating exposures and estimating risks in current research projects. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability. Respond to this requirement by submitting written capabilities / specifications to the Contracting Specialist at the address provided. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responses received within 6 days from the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no affirmative responses are received within 6 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, the order will be issued to Lyme Computer Systems, Inc. The NAICS Code/Size is 334611/500 Employees. This procurement is to be processed using FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures in conjunction with FAR Part 12 Commercial Item Acquisition of Commercial Items.
