- The Naval Air Warfare Center - Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to procure qty (345) each Smart Storage Systems brand Xcel-200 solid state hard drives, P/N: TX52D10120GC0001, in support of the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Family of Special Operations Vehicles (FOSOV) Ground Mobile Vehicle (GMV) currently fielded in various CONUS and OCONUS locations. The Navy intends to solicit for these hard drives under a limited source procurement for the Smart Storage Systems brand equipment identified above. The solicitation will be open to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and authorized Smart Storage Systems distributors only. The Smart Storage Systems hard drives under P/N: TX52D10120GC0001 is the only known Single Level Cell hard drive that is capable of meeting MIL-STD 810F Temperature requirements and MIL-STD 810G shock and vibration requirements and is also be able to interact with the current FOSOV Command, Control, Communications, Computer and Information (C4I) system without any modification to the existing architecture. This will be a commercial item procurement to provide the SCR Division with qty (345) Smart Storage Systems Xcel-200 hard drives P/N: TX52D10120GC0001. As a result of the solicitation, NAWCADLKE intends to award one firm fixed price contract. Award will be based on a determination of "Lowest Price Technically Acceptable". It is mandatory for offerors to register with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The CCR provides the Data Universal Numbering System + 4 (DUNS) number and the company's Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code that will be required to conduct business with the Department of Defense. The solicitation and applicable attachments will be posted to the NAVAIR homepage located at http://www.navair.navy.mil (Select "Business Opportunities" then "Open Solicitations") on or about 24 August 2012. Hard copies of the solicitation and amendments will NOT be mailed to the contractors.
