- NEW CONCRETE SLAB AT STORAGE BUILDING (12-031) AT SAND LAKE NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE, COLUMBIA, SOUTH DAKOTA WORK UNDER THIS CONTRACT A. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, and equipment necessary to construct a 6"x48x120 reinforced concrete slab over a 6 gravel base, inside an existing 48x120 equipment storage building. Concrete slab shall be placed in 20x48 sections, light broom finished and sloped 1/8 inch per foot from rear of building to overhead door and flush with entry threshold. Steel reinforcement shall be #4 rebar placed 24 on center in each direction. B. Equipment storage building is constructed with treated timber post columns with steel siding. Contractor shall attach pressure treated 2x12 to inside perimeter of timber post columns for use as forms. Forms shall be stabilized over full length and remain after concrete slab placement.
