Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, National Cemetery Administration intends to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) numbered VA786A-12-Q-0094, entitled "Remove and Replace The Concrete Sidewalks and Repair the Walls in the Tunnel" on or about August 14, 2012, for Golden Gate National Cemetery located in San Bruno, CA. Unless additional notice is given or this notice is modified or cancelled, the full solicitation, specifications and drawings will be posted on FedBizOpps (www.fbo.gov). This solicitation is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, Required Central Contractor Registration (CCR); In accordance with VAAR 852.219-10 VA Notice of Total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside and VAAR 819-7005; Offeror submitting a quote must be Center for Veterans Enterprise verified and visible in the VIP database at time of quote due date and award. There will be a pre-bid site investigation; all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-bid site investigation will be included in the solicitation package. NAICS Code: 238110Size Standards: $14.0 Million Period of Performance: Forty-Five (45) calendar days from issuance of notice to proceed after contract award. Magnitude of Construction for this project is between $25,000 and $100,000 This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming RFQ solicitation to satisfy the requirement of FAR 5.201 and 5.203. This Contract Specialist will not be able to answer any questions to this notice until an RFQ is issued. Once the RFQ is issued, interested parties must submit questions via email to the Contract Specialist. Questions will be answered through an amendment of the solicitation. All interested parties should register via FedBizOpps interested vendors list. It is the responsibility of the offeror to monitor and download amendments from FedBizOpps which may be issued to this solicitation. The scope of work for this project includes, but is not limited to the contractor furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment services to perform construction work to demolish, remove and replace the sidewalks and repair the tunnel walls at Golden Gate National Cemetery. Sidewalks shall be reconfigured to become a sloped drainage ground covering that is stamped to imitate the stone work on the bridge.
