Description
Base Solicitation corrected to reflect FAR 52.232-18. Amendment 000001 The purpose of this amendment is to add FAR 52.232-18-Availability of Funds (Apr 1984). All other terms and conditions remain unchanged. _________________________________________________________________ IMPORTANT NOTE: This announcement replaces previous synopsis RFQ# DTMA-95-Q-2012-0002. The full solicitation DTMA95B20120003 is attached in this announcement. MARAD is looking for either a built or rebuilt (no more than 25 years old) or donation of a tug to carry out training operations in support of the Towing Officer Assessment Record (TOAR) certification for Midshipman at USMMA. The tug will be used in conjunction with a currently held MARAD asset (ex-US Navy FB-216 SWOB Barge). The barge particulars are as follows: LENGTH OVERALL: 108 FEET BREADTH: 28 FEET DRAFT: LIGHT 8 FEET STEEL HULL The Tug will be of a classic steel hull design with model or rounded bow that will allow the tug boat to be able to incline its centerline into the side of a barge for towing alongside. Candidate vessel will be capable and outfitted to push ahead, tow alongside and tow astern, and in addition, should be capable of ship assist. Offer(s) must contain the following: 1. Vessel Data and Details 2. Vessel Specifications and Documentation 3. Vessel plans, including stability data 4. Last hull and machinery survey report (if applicable) 5. Price (CLIN 0001 AND 0002) 6. Delivery Schedule to USMMA Waterfront 8. Offeror must provide: a. Pricing for CLIN 0001 Mandatory Characteristics inclusive of any of the Preferred Characteristics already installed on the vessel. b. Itemized Pricing for CLIN 0002 Preferred Characteristics. Price to modify all preferred items the vessel currently lacks and the estimated delivery times for each. 9. Vessel donations must meet all mandatory requirements. 10. A pre-award survey of the vessel is required and will be peformed.
