- Description
- The following Amendment 0003 to Solicitation W81XWH-12-T-0391 is issued to cancel Amendments 0001 and 0002 which were posted with description errors, answer offeror's questions regarding requirement specifications, and clarify the location of referenced attachments. Attachments can be accessed by clicking the Additional Documentation link beneath the Additional Info heading at the bottom of the original combined synopsis/solicitation. Any offeror having difficulty opening the attachments should contact the POC below. Offeror's questions and responses are as follows: Q1: The specifications call for a Farr GS-2 cartridge dry-type dust collector for the capture of both steel and aluminum dusts. NFPA-484 prohibits mixing/collection of aluminum and steel dusts into the same dry cartridge collector. Do you mean to specify a wet-type collector? A1: The dust collector will predominantly, almost always, be used for aluminum. It is only expected to be used for steel on a rare occasion, and we have taken precaution to have various safety measures and inspections in place, including personnel to clean the system prior to a switch in medium. Under no circumstances will aluminum and steel be collected at the same time. A wet-type collector is not required. Q2: What is the required external static pressure? A2: Refer to Bullet 2 of Minimum Characteristics, Attachment 2. This shall be determined by the contractor as part of design. Q3: Can you provide specs relating to Filtration media sqft? A3: Refer to Bullet 2 of Minimum Characteristics, Attachment 2. This shall be determined by the contractor as part of design. Q4: What is the required voltage? A4: 440v, 3 phase. POC for questions regarding this Amendment is Ms. Dana Kavitski, Contract Specialist, email: dana.kavitski@amedd.army.mil, phone: 301-619-8987, or fax: 301-619-9656.
