- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested for the required items and no written solicitation will be issued. Solicitation number W911S7-12-T-0102 is issued as a request for proposal (RFP).This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-60 - 26 July 2012. This Request for Proposal is a Total Small Business Set-Aside under NAICS 339999 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. The Government intends to award a single firm-fixed-price contract on or about 15 September 2012. Ft. Leonard Wood MO requires the following items: 0001: 25 computerized infant simulators of varied ethnic background. Each baby shall contain the following: care cards, minimum of two wireless ID's, wristbands, sleepwear, outer wear, an infant body suit, daywear, bottles, diapers, diaper bag, receiving blankets, infant Car seat with Car seat Detection Kit, battery charger. Simulator shall have the capability of recording detailed data concerning the baby's care and handling; if the baby is shaken, the ability to cry at varied intervals because baby is hungry/ needs burped, is wanting to be comforted, or needs diaper changed, improper head positioning, inappropriate handling, failure to support the head correctly, must be able to detect and record how long baby has been sitting unattended in a car seat, when clothing is changed and which clothing articles are worn at various times, the temperature of the baby's surroundings and be able to note when temperatures become unsafe for baby. Ethnicity shall be : African American Male 1; Asian Female 1; American Indian Female 1; Light African American Female 2; Light African American Male 3; Caucasian Female 7; Caucasian Male 6; Hispanic Female 2; Hispanic Male 1; Asian Males 1. Realityworks RealCare Baby or equal. Storage cart with capacity to store all simulators in one unit. 0002: Shaken Baby Simulator: Simulator shall have the ability to cry and show the damage that occurs to an infant when shaken, utilize LED lights and accelerometers to display the immediate damage and area of the brain affected. Realityworks RealCare Shaken Baby or equal. 0003: Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Simulator: Shall show the effects of alcohol on the baby to include narrow eye openings, flat nose bridge, small head circumference, flat midface and ear abnormalities, smaller than normal infant and curriculum that outlines the effects on the developing fetus, physical, behavioral and emotional problems that often occur.
