Description
The Microelectronics Device Integration Group (MDIG) at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) advance measurement science, develop standards, and provide calibrations and reference data for characterizing, testing, and calibrating MtM device technologies. NIST's personnel and facilities support industrial needs for MEMS wafer and chip-level device testing, calibrations of accelerometers and microphones, SiC power device characterization, and technologies and standards for Smart Grid. The current requirement is for a Precision Computer-Controlled, two-axis, gimabal system to be used for DC Calibrations of Microelectricalmechanical Systems (MEMS) accelerometers. The system must be have two motorized gimbal axes configured in a roll-over-elevation configuration, electronic controllers for the motors, mounting ring, leveling system to adjust orientation of the gimbal with respect to gravity, a suitable base for mounting an optical breadboard, and all necessary accessories. The NAICS code for this requirement is 334516 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. The required system is non-commercial in nature and will be procured using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under the authority of FAR Part 13. This requirement is 100% set-aside for small business.
