Description
Solicitation Attachments Solicitation The USDA Forest Service, Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, intends to procure by contract professional services for the cultural resource field inventory (approximately 40 acres) and significance statements of affected portions of the historic properties known as the Monte Cristo Historic Mining District, and segments of the access road and repository site. The work will include, but is not limited to, a review and compilation of existing Forest Service records, some additional archival research of primary and secondary sources, interviews with knowledgeable individuals, field inventory of the Area of Potential Effect, and a physical description of identified historic properties, features and artifacts The MCMA CERCLA removal project is located in the Darrington Ranger District of the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, in Snohomish County, approximately 28 air-miles east-southeast of Granite Falls, Washington. The Monte Cristo Townsite, at the core of the MCMA, is located in the SE ¼ of Section 21, Township 29 North, Range 11 East, at an elevation of 2,755 feet above sea level. The project area is accessible via the Mountain Loop Highway south from Darrington, or east from Granite Falls to the county road gate at Barlow Pass. The solicitation resulting from this notice will be a total small-business set-aside. The applicable NAICS code is 541720 with a corresponding size standard of $19.0 million. A solicitation for this procurement will be made available on this website on or about August 15, 2012 with proposals due on or about August 31, 2012. The solicitation will be prepared in accordance with FAR Part 13 procedures for simplified acquisition. Proposals will be evaluated on price, experience and past performance along with other factors. All offerors meeting the criteria listed above may submit a proposal that will be considered by the Government. Offerors are encouraged to register on this web site as an interested party. In order to be considered for award, the successful contractor must be registered on both the Central Contractor Registration website at www.ccr.gov as well as the Online Representations and Certifications website at www.orca.bpn.gov.
