- AMENDMENT #9 Because of the following changes/clarifications, the due date for proposals will be extended. PROPOSALS ARE DUE NO LATER THAN 3:00 PM (EASTERN) ON MONDAY, AUGUST 20, 2012 1.GROUND NORTH, INSTEAD OF BEING TURNED OVER TO THE CONTRACTOR IN ITS ENTIRETY, MUST BE COMPLETED IN THE SAME THREE-PHASED MANNER AS GROUND SOUTH AND ONE SOUTH REPLACE THE FOLLOWING STATEMENTS ON PAGE 6/7 : Scheduling and implementation of construction and construction related work shall not disturb patient care, compromise the inpatient environment, living standard, nor interfere with Community Living Center operation. "Each of the units is separated into three wings. For work being completed on Ground South and 1 South, contactor must phase the work to close one wing at a time so patients do not have to be relocated off the unit. The contractor may complete 1 wing on Ground South and 1 South at the same time just not multiple wings on the same floor at the same time. The VA will relocate each wing to consolidate patients into the other two wings during construction. Contractor must provide a schedule to allow the VA 3 weeks between each wing (phase) for patient relocation and appropriate construction barriers to be built. The intention of this requirement is to provide a secure and safe environment for the patients that are being relocated during each phase. "Ground North can be completed without phasing and the entire unit will be turned over to the contractor. Work cannot begin on this unit until January 2014. The intention of this requirement is to provide a secure and safe environment for the patients that are being relocated during each phase. 2.All patient lifts are manufactured and installed by ARJO 3.Screen-printed radiant panels have been provided for other local VA projects 4.With regards to Ground North: all wall covering should be removed from the affected areas and the walls are to be prepared to receive paint. Paint should be Navajo White by Sherwin Williams or Equivalent. Cubicle curtain tracks are to remain the same, and the contractor is to match the existing layout.
